Baking, decorating, painting, creating and teaching has always been April's passion even as a small child. Whenever her Mom was away, she'd take over the kitchen and would try out new recipes for cakes, cookies and frostings. In school her favorite subject was Home Economics, where she learned the basic techniques and principles needed to build up her cooking repertoire. She even did her own research and experimentation well beyond what was expected. Now that her 3 boys are all grown-up and have careers of their own, she now has all the time to do her passion.
Petit Fleurs was set up primarily to provide affordable high-quality sugar flowers and edible cake decorations for bakeries, hotels, and home bakers. But with the boys all grown-up she decided to focus more on classes that provide more hands-on experience for baking enthusiasts, both young and old.
